Senior Go Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire delivery process — including sequencing, prioritization, WIP limits, dependency resolution, and the release schedule across mobile, backend, analytics, and QA.

• Develop the product roadmap by investigating feature concepts, balancing effort against impact, and managing a prioritized pipeline of upcoming initiatives.

• Convert product objectives into implementable strategies, engaging the appropriate engineering, data, or growth stakeholders as necessary — without creating bottlenecks.

• Establish priorities and ensure accountability within a senior, founder-led team; possess the authority and discernment to finalize outstanding decisions.

• Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives with an emphasis on delivering results — rather than adhering to processes for their own sake.

• Communicate effectively and proactively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including founders.

• Manage external platform partnerships as appropriate (App Store, Play Store, third-party integrations).

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–4+ years of experience producing or program-managing launched consumer mobile applications on both iOS and Android — not just one platform.

• Proficient in agile delivery: sprint planning, backlog refinement, WIP discipline, dependency mapping, and release coordination across mobile, backend, analytics, and QA.

• Expert in Jira — you actively engage with it, rather than only reporting from it.

• Experience in launching products that require alignment between backend, mobile, and analytics.

• Strong product judgment — capable of conducting discovery, writing specifications, and making prioritization decisions, not just tracking them.

• Confidence to establish priorities, decline requests when necessary, and respectfully challenge founders when it benefits the product.

• Proficient in C2 English — direct, daily communication with US-based founders and a distributed team.

• Must be in the Americas time zone.
