Senior Geologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Gather and integrate geological data from multiple sources to aid in analysis and modeling initiatives.

• Collaborate with clients to enhance the application of geological context to modeling results, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

• Analyze geological data within the framework of broader data science goals, offering insights and recommendations.

• Work alongside the Senior Project Manager and Chief Geoscientist to characterize client types regarding AI data readiness, expectations, and technology stack compatibility.

• Collaborate effectively with data scientists and developers to incorporate geological understanding into predictive models and analytical tools.

• Provide geological expertise to interdisciplinary projects, making sure that geoscience perspectives are acknowledged and valued.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Geology, Geosciences, or related disciplines.

• Geological Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in geological data compilation and interpretation for exploration, with a solid understanding of various geological environments.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in GIS, remote sensing tools, and familiarity with databases. Experience with data analysis software (such as Python or R) is advantageous. Knowledge of 3D geological modeling platforms like LeapFrog or Geoscientist Analyst is beneficial.

• Collaborative/Communication Skills: Proven ability to work efficiently as part of a multidisciplinary remote team and with clients, bridging the gap between geology and data science.

• Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a meticulous eye for detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
