Senior GCP DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and uphold secure and scalable cloud infrastructure within the Google Cloud Platform.

• Provide support for deployment, monitoring, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications and services.

• Enhance and refine infrastructure automation and deployment procedures.

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize application releases and cloud operations.

• Oversee production environments and aid in troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis.

• Strengthen cloud security, access controls, logging, monitoring, and operational standards.

• Identify areas for enhancing infrastructure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

• Work in partnership with distributed technical teams across various locations and time zones.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or a related field.

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform or equivalent cloud infrastructure.

• Background in supporting cloud-based applications and production environments.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

• Knowledge of containers and technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.

• Understanding of cloud monitoring, logging, networking, security, and access management.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with remote and distributed teams.

• Must reside in Hawaii.

• Must be available to work until approximately 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time regularly.
