Senior GCP Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop robust data pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data into GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

• Create and execute scalable and efficient data models within GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

• Design and sustain data architecture, ensuring peak performance and dependability.

• Leverage GCP's big data services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataprep, for extensive data processing.

• Enforce and uphold data security protocols in accordance with industry best practices.

• Work collaboratively with product management teams to grasp their needs and requirements.

• Oversee and manage modifications to tracking specifications based on the requirements of product and feature teams.

• Clearly and responsibly articulate your needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound understanding of GCP as a platform, including its capabilities and services.

• Experience with Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Memorystore / Redis.

• Extensive experience in database management and optimization, with proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, encompassing a thorough understanding of data modeling, storage, and efficient querying methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex technical challenges.

• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency in Java and Python.

• Experience in Agile development settings, particularly within a Scrum framework.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Bonus skills: Familiarity with Terraform and Kafka is a plus.
