Senior Game Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Develop and produce game features in collaboration with team members and clients.

• Provide producers, engineering managers, and/or leads with detailed information regarding progress and issues as needed.

• Assist junior team members when necessary, offering insights based on experience and knowledge.

• Offer solution options and task estimations concerning effort and risks when required.

• Design, code/configure, and test features and systems according to project requirements.

• Generate documentation of processes as defined by the Tech Lead.

• Apply and advocate for best development practices, adhering to standardized coding conventions.

• Actively contribute as a member of Nimble Giant, enhancing our engineering teams and fostering collaboration across all departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A total of 4 years of professional experience in the video game industry as a software engineer, with in-depth knowledge of engine development and game systems using C++ and Unreal Engine.

• Excellent programming skills in C/C++ employing solid software engineering practices.

• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Experience in developing complete subsystems that integrate with the overall project.

• Extensive experience in developing and testing across multiple environments (dev, prod, and live).

• Knowledge of Unreal Engine, as well as the use of Blueprints.

• Experience in game development for PC and other platforms.

• Proven experience achieving performance and memory optimizations.

• Ability to collaborate with Designers, QA, Artists, and others to enhance workflows within each department.

• Experience using version control systems, such as Perforce, git, or Subversion.

• Proficiency with Jira or similar project management tools is required.

• Strong time management and focus.

• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

• A self-starter who can work independently and is an autonomous learner.
