Senior Fullstack Software Engineer – Ruby, Typescript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the core Rails application with an emphasis on code quality, contemporary practices, and long-term reliability.

• Lead the technical execution of intricate projects within 6-week cycles, taking full ownership from architectural planning to deployment.

• Establish effective connections between the Rails monolith and ancillary TypeScript/GCP services (Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions) while avoiding over-engineering.

• Proactively detect and address issues in tooling, CI/CD, and local environments to maintain an enjoyable codebase.

• Foster high-quality asynchronous collaboration through comprehensive documentation, architectural decision records, and thorough code reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in writing maintainable, self-describing, reusable, and testable code using Rails and other significant back-end or full-stack technologies across multiple projects.

• Experience in designing and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Proficiency in measuring and enhancing performance.

• An agile, results-driven mindset and a strong desire to support your team members.

• Interest in or experience with human-centered software development.

• Excellent command of spoken and written English; proficiency in German is a plus.

• Residency in Germany.
