Senior Fullstack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and launch product features comprehensively across the technology stack — utilizing React and TypeScript for the front end, Rails for the back end, and managing the databases and services that support them.

• Take ownership of significant product areas, ensuring accountability for design, implementation, performance, and reliability instead of merely passing tasks at interfaces.

• Make practical decisions regarding data modeling, API design, and infrastructure on GCP that remain effective as the company expands.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, clinical, and operations teams to transform intricate healthcare workflows into user-friendly experiences.

• Enhance the technical standards through meticulous code reviews, design critiques, and establishing shared engineering practices.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, offering support that fosters the growth of the entire team.

• Develop and incorporate AI-driven features into production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional experience in software engineering, focusing on building and deploying production web applications.

• Strong expertise across the technology stack: React and TypeScript for the front end, and Ruby on Rails for the back end.

• Proficient understanding of relational databases and the underlying infrastructure for applications, with comfort in working within a major cloud provider (GCP or AWS).

• Proven experience in managing features from inception to completion and making astute architectural decisions with minimal oversight.

• Background in building or integrating AI-driven features into production applications — including LLM-based workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, or ML-assisted automation — and leveraging these tools to enhance your own development process.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (our chosen cloud provider).

• Experience handling healthcare data, HIPAA regulations, or working in other compliance-sensitive environments.

• Previous experience at an early-stage or rapidly growing startup, contributing to the establishment of scalable engineering practices.
