Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, Ruby on Rails

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the journey of features from problem identification to design, implementation, launch, and ongoing operation.

• Leverage a modern toolchain to significantly enhance productivity.

• Efficiently define problems and manage the entire workflow.

• Comprehend data flow, failure modes, and the performance attributes of systems.

• Enhance runtime systems and tools to boost developer productivity.

• Transform legacy services to ensure stability and improve performance.

• Define REST/JSON:API/OpenAPI specifications for integrations.

• Collaborate closely with product teams, designers, and fellow engineers.

• Create clear specifications, Architectural Decision Records (ADRs), pull request descriptions, and runbooks.

• Guide and mentor other engineers, contributing to the software development process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 6 years in developing production web applications.

• At least 3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails in a production setting.

• Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails in real-world environments.

• Strong skills in relational database management.

• Experience in integrating modern front-end frameworks with Rails.

• Proficient in API design and implementation.

• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, GitHub, and CI/CD workflows.

• Hands-on experience with testing and debugging in production.
