This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will design the billing, invoicing, and monetization systems that support the global energy transition — creating a cohesive internal platform.
• By developing and managing everything from invoicing and subscriptions to PSP-supported payments and reconciliations, you will ensure that sustainable energy is both financially viable and operationally scalable.
• The audit trails, templates, and integrations you create will be relied upon by finance teams and customers as we grow into new markets.
• As a software engineer at 1KOMMA5°, you will assume technical ownership of essential systems and features, influence architectural decisions, and guarantee scalability, reliability, and performance.
• You will collaborate closely with fellow engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to define our technical direction and deliver impactful solutions.
• In addition to building solutions, you will mentor team members, promote engineering excellence, and help elevate our development and deployment practices.
• Proficient in writing maintainable, reusable, and testable code in TypeScript, with strong expertise in both frontend frameworks and backend technologies.
• Solid understanding of API design, data modeling, and system integration (RESTful or GraphQL), including patterns for idempotent money movements and auditable billing events wherever applicable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage features from conception to completion, encompassing UX and architecture through deployment and monitoring.
• A practical, product-oriented mindset that balances technical excellence with delivering customer value in regulated or finance-related operations.
• A proactive attitude and curiosity to explore new tools and techniques that enhance product quality and engineering efficiency.
• Exceptional written and spoken English (German is an advantage).
• Must reside in Germany.
