Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and uphold production-quality backend and frontend components.

• Develop APIs, business logic, data access layers, and user interfaces.

• Introduce new features while improving legacy functionalities.

• Compose unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure secure delivery.

• Transform legacy Java applications (e.g., Struts/JBoss) into Spring Boot services.

• Aid in breaking down monolithic systems into modular services.

• Ensure data integrity and backward compatibility during gradual modernization.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex legacy codebases.

• Create RESTful APIs utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Implement data access via Hibernate/JPA.

• Assist with database modernization, schema evolution, and data migration.

• Apply consistent practices for logging, error handling, and observability.

• Construct and maintain Angular applications using TypeScript.

• Ensure responsive UI behavior and secure backend integration.

• Collaborate with UX and backend teams on API agreements and user experiences.

• Implement authentication and authorization using IAM solutions (e.g., Keycloak).

• Apply OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect and role-based access control.

• Develop with CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and production readiness in mind.

• Work alongside DevOps teams for deployment and operational support.

• Engage in sprint planning, refinement, estimation, and retrospectives.

• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

• Clearly communicate progress, risks, and technical challenges.

• Grasp business goals and drivers and translate them into suitable technical solutions.

• Support the complete SDLC—from requirements and estimation through deployment, monitoring, and documentation.

• Continuously learn and implement new tools and techniques to enhance performance, automation, and scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to obtain and sustain a Public Trust clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience as an individual contributor.

• Expertise in Java (the most critical requirement) with substantial hands-on experience in Spring Boot.

• Experience in building and utilizing RESTful APIs; proficient with JUnit or similar testing frameworks.

• Practical experience with Angular (v2+) and TypeScript for integrating front-end features with back-end services.

• Relational database proficiency with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle (SQL, schema design, troubleshooting).

• Proficiency in Git and work tracking in Jira; strong collaboration and communication abilities.

• Proven capability to perform code reviews, maintain code quality, and apply/receive coaching to enhance team practices.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, proactive risk identification, and clear communication to varied audiences.
