• Design, develop, and deliver production-quality systems from start to finish - encompassing frontend, backend, infrastructure, and the operational components in between - adhering to timelines, budgetary constraints, and maintaining high standards of quality.
• Take ownership of technical decisions regarding architecture, cloud infrastructure, observability, deployment, and security for the projects you are responsible for.
• Write secure, robust, and thoroughly tested code while setting high standards during code reviews for your colleagues.
• Troubleshoot complex issues - production incidents, performance regressions, concurrency bugs, and anomalies in distributed systems - and document your findings to enhance team knowledge.
• Create prototypes and proofs of concept to facilitate rapid learning (in hours, not days), validate concepts, and mitigate risks associated with technical decisions before finalizing a direction.
• Mentor team members and act as a sounding board for challenging technical issues, helping to elevate the skills of those around you.
• Investigate new technologies and tools, contributing to the refinement of team processes and engineering practices to ensure excellence in delivery.
• Provide rough estimates of effort and technical scope for new opportunities, and at times assist in presenting technical options to client stakeholders.
• Proven experience in systems architecture and design - capable of architecting new systems from the ground up and evaluating trade-offs at the system level.
• AI-native, with skills that extend well beyond basic coding!
• Able to serve as a sounding board for teammates. You create documentation, diagrams, and walkthroughs that enhance team intelligence.
• Strong full-stack expertise: Web UX/UI, REST APIs, backend development, database modeling, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Experience in client-facing roles, possessing strong presentation and communication skills.
• Proficient in requirements gathering and producing both technical and non-technical documentation.
• Familiarity with ALM tools (such as Jira, ClickUp, Git, etc.) and agile methodologies, including scrum and backlog management.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and an outstanding problem-solver.
• Capable of learning from both successes and failures while maintaining a positive outlook.
• Strong understanding of web performance, including on-page metrics and external factors (CDN, caching, etc.).
• Experience with automated testing for both backend and frontend systems.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems management, or another engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
