Senior Full Stack Engineer, Revenue Engine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Create systems that drive promotional campaigns, payment processing, and other essential revenue-generating functionalities.

• Design and implement comprehensive solutions from the initial concept through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing enhancement.

• Build scalable backend services and applications for customers and internal stakeholders that support core revenue operations.

• Influence technical design and architectural choices with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, maintainability, and performance.

• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Finance, and BizOps teams to convert business objectives into effective technical solutions.

• Enhance observability, resilience, and operational excellence within revenue-critical services.

• Oversee projects from the initial discovery and technical planning stages to implementation, rollout, and post-launch optimization.

• Uphold high engineering standards through coding practices, code reviews, testing, documentation, and operational ownership.

• Mentor fellow engineers and engage in knowledge sharing.

• Boost development efficiency, system quality, and platform health via tooling, automation, and architectural improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Significant experience in building and maintaining production-grade backend systems in complex or rapidly growing environments.

• Practical experience in developing modern frontend applications, particularly with React and TypeScript.

• Proficient in Kotlin or Java, TypeScript, and SQL databases.

• Experience in designing and managing distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and event-driven systems.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver complete solutions from requirements gathering and design to implementation and production support.

• Strong grasp of system reliability, scalability, observability, and performance best practices.

• Capability to navigate uncertainty, decompose complex problems, and drive execution in cross-functional teams.

• Excellent English communication skills.

• Experience mentoring fellow engineers and contributing to a robust engineering culture.

• Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure business operations run smoothly 24/7.

• Preferred: experience in eCommerce, marketplaces, fintech, or other transaction-intensive fields.

• Preferred: background in promotions, pricing, incentives, payments, or other revenue-centric domains.

• Preferred: familiarity with orchestration and long-running workflow patterns, including Temporal.

• Preferred: experience with GraphQL and contemporary frontend architectural patterns.
