Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Java/React – Secure Messaging, DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design the comprehensive system architecture in accordance with the specified technology stack.

• Build backend services for message ingestion, processing, validation, and storage.

• Create frontend components for user engagement, including dashboards and detailed views.

• Develop message parsing and validation logic specifically for MTF messages.

• Ensure the extensibility of configurable aspects such as message categories.

• Integrate the application with Microsoft Exchange using EWS to oversee the registry mailbox.

• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms via Keycloak and Active Directory.

• Design and establish the database schema.

• Implement tracking for message delivery, read, and acknowledgment statuses.

• Validate MTF messages against both generic and type-specific structures.

• Configure and manage Amazon Azure DevOps pipelines for building and releasing applications.

• Produce deployable RPM packages.

• Ensure that the application is deployable in Oracle Linux environments.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and set priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong, demonstrable experience in backend development utilizing Java.

• Strong, demonstrable experience in frontend development with React.

• Extensive experience in database design and implementation using PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with object-relational mapping through Java Persistence API (JPA).

• Experience in integration with Microsoft Exchange using EWS or IMAP.

• Experienced in implementing authentication and authorization using Keycloak, including integration with Active Directory.

• Proficient in working with X.509 certificates, including their handling, validation, and secure usage.

• Experience in deployment and configuration on Linux environments, preferably Oracle Linux (versions 9 or higher).

• Familiarity with the configuration and use of Apache as a reverse proxy.

• Proficient in version control using Git.

• Capable of designing scalable and maintainable system architectures.

• Experience in implementing role-based access control and fine-grained authorization models.

• Proven experience in developing applications with secure coding practices.

• Demonstrated expertise with Amazon Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and packaging applications in RPM format.

• Ability to produce and maintain documentation in LaTeX format.

• Understanding of Military Text Format (MTF) messaging standards or the capability to quickly acquire such knowledge.

• Familiarity with messaging workflows, delivery tracking, and associated audit requirements.
