This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, governance, and advancement of enterprise cloud architecture within a federal setting.

• Establish cloud architecture standards and provide guidance to DevOps teams.

• Ensure Azure environments are architected for scalability, resilience, security, and compliance.

• Work in close collaboration with engineering teams and government stakeholders.

• Design and manage highly available, secure, and scalable Azure architectures.

• Define enterprise Azure reference architectures, design patterns, and best practices.

• Develop architectural guidance for Azure identity, governance, policy enforcement, and monitoring frameworks.

• Support DevOps teams in the implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Lead architectural planning for the migration of on-premises workloads to Azure.

• Ensure that architecture complies with federal security and compliance standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Current or prior Public Trust designation.

• At least 6 years of experience in designing and implementing Azure cloud architectures.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform and ARM templates.

• At least 6 years of DevOps experience, with a focus on Azure technologies.

• Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Experience in designing cloud migration strategies and converting on-premises workloads into cloud-native architectures.

• Familiarity with Azure ecosystem services, including Azure Active Directory, Autopilot / Intune, Microsoft 365 / Office 365, SharePoint, Exchange, and OneDrive.

• Proficient in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, and Python.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
