Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Backend Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Assume full responsibility for the comprehensive development of our platform, focusing on delivering high-quality, user-centered experiences.

• Duties will encompass the entire stack, with a particular focus on backend systems and APIs.

• Participate in system architecture and design, defining APIs, data models, and service boundaries.

• Develop and maintain backend services, PostgreSQL databases, and infrastructure.

• Collaborate on the web layer by creating and integrating frontend features, while enhancing performance and test coverage across our applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid EU work permit and professional fluency in both spoken and written English.

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a small team.

• Comfortable taking ownership of projects from conception through to execution.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to clearly explain complex concepts, present decisions effectively, and write readable and maintainable code.

• Extensive professional experience in modern full-stack development (7+ years) — Essential.

• Strong expertise in Node.js, along with solid experience in relational databases, cloud engineering, and authentication systems.

• Familiarity with modern development practices, including unit, integration, E2E, and load testing.

• Proficient in TypeScript and knowledgeable about browser rendering pipelines.

• Familiarity with our current technology stack: React, Next.js/Tanstack Start, PostgreSQL, Prisma, tRPC, Google Cloud Platform, Auth0 by Okta, Playwright, and Tailwind CSS.

• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is preferred, but not mandatory.
