Senior Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Be part of a high-impact team developing a vertical SaaS platform that is essential for thousands of service businesses on a daily basis.

• This role is hands-on and senior, providing you with significant influence over product direction, system architecture, and the engineering culture as the team expands.

• The platform is currently transitioning from a mature PHP codebase to a contemporary Node.js and React stack, with a React Native mobile application already in production.

• You will engage with both aspects of this migration: delivering features in the existing codebase while assisting in the architecture and development of the new system.

• Take ownership of features from start to finish, encompassing scoping with the product team, deployment, and monitoring.

• Collaborate with product and customer-facing teams to convert real user challenges into technical solutions.

• Contribute to the establishment of best practices within the modern stack, including testing strategies, code review standards, CI/CD, and enhancing developer experience.

• Participate in discussions regarding architecture and technical direction as an equal, rather than just as a reviewer.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, showcasing a robust full-stack background.

• Experience working with PHP in a production environment.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with React for web applications.

• Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Proven ability to take ownership of features from conception to production within a small team, including scoping, building, and supporting.

• Results-driven and proactive, with a comfort in working autonomously.

• Preferred: Experience in leading or contributing to a large-scale codebase migration (from PHP to Node/React or similar).

• Knowledge of REST API design and third-party integrations (including payments, mapping, routing, scheduling).

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar).

• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and DevOps practices.
