Senior Full-Stack Engineer – AI-Powered Healthcare Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Design and develop REST APIs and web applications for cloud services as well as on-site device configuration, monitoring, and management.

• Create user-friendly management interfaces for both cloud-based workflows and local hardware setups.

• Architect backend services that connect cloud environments (AWS) with on-premises AI computing systems.

• Design database schemas with low latency to handle job tracking, results storage, audit logging, and device management.

• Construct and sustain containerized AI inference pipelines that operate on both cloud and dedicated GPU infrastructure.

• Implement comprehensive end-to-end observability (including telemetry, logging, and alerting) across distributed systems.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in inference pipelines and extensive binary data workflows.

• Ensure that software adheres to regulatory compliance standards (such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11/820 and SOC2).

• Collaborate closely with ML Engineering and Research teams to transition models into production.

• Participate actively in design reviews, architectural discussions, and incident response rotations.

• Generate technical documentation for API specifications, deployment instructions, and regulatory submissions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

• 5–7 years of professional experience in software development.

• Over 4 years of experience in building and managing REST APIs and backend services in a production environment.

• More than 3 years of experience in AI/ML application development, specifically in deploying and optimizing inference services.

• At least 4 years of experience with Python and TypeScript/JavaScript across backend and frontend development.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, EKS, ECR, Lambda, CloudWatch).

• Over 3 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployments in edge or on-premises environments.

• More than 3 years of experience in SQL and NoSQL database design.

• At least 2 years of experience developing software in regulated environments (FDA and/or SOC2).

• Familiarity with observability tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, or similar).

• A solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Frontend experience with React or comparable frameworks.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and a proactive attitude toward delivering results in a startup environment.
