Senior Frontend / Full-Stack Engineer – Web Performance, Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Comprehensive Leadership: Oversee the design and execution of intricate web projects from conception and architectural design to deployment and iteration.

• User Acquisition Enhancement: Propel user acquisition by refining browsing experiences and login processes (e.g., One Tap, FedCM, social sign-ins).

• System Design: Create and implement scalable, high-performance frontend architectures utilizing React and Next.js.

• Performance Optimization: Discover and implement strategies to enhance site performance, concentrating on Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse ratings, and advanced data-fetching techniques.

• Data-Driven Development: Establish and execute A/B testing, feature flags, and progressive rollouts to guide product strategies with real-time insights.

• Monitoring & Analytics: Advance tracking, telemetry, and error monitoring to ensure comprehensive visibility into user interactions and system dependability.

• Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to influence the roadmap and prioritize impactful initiatives.

• Platform Development: Aid in SEO strategies and enhancements to the content platform, including CMS integrations and structured data.

• Coaching: Enhance code quality and engineering practices by mentoring fellow engineers and enriching the developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in developing modern, large-scale web applications.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.

• Web Performance Expertise: In-depth understanding of Core Web Vitals, SSR/CSR trade-offs, caching strategies, and Lighthouse optimization techniques.

• Growth-Focused Engineering: Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing A/B tests and managing gradual feature rollouts.

• Data Systems Expertise: Solid experience with analytics, tracking, and telemetry systems.

• Full-Stack Knowledge: Experience working across the technology stack (Node.js and/or Ruby on Rails) and integrating with complex APIs.

• Strategic Architectural Insight: Capability to make high-level decisions balancing speed, scalability, and maintainability.
