Senior Frontend Engineer – Kotlin, Frontend Core

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take charge of our monorepo, ensuring it remains healthy, efficient, and user-friendly as the codebase expands.

• Design, construct, and sustain CI/CD pipelines for React Native and web projects, promoting reliability and rapid feedback loops for the engineering team.

• Create and manage shared TypeScript libraries—state management patterns, networking layers, and error handling utilities—utilized across all frontend products.

• Oversee the mobile release process from start to finish, including Android build configuration, versioning, and deployment automation.

• Integrate and sustain observability tools (Sentry, Amplitude) at the platform level, ensuring product teams receive reliable instrumentation out of the box.

• Identify and address build bottlenecks, dependency challenges, and tooling deficiencies that hinder engineering productivity.

• Collaborate closely with product frontend teams to comprehend their challenges and convert them into platform enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in frontend or mobile engineering, with a significant portion dedicated to platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling tasks.

• Proficient in production-grade TypeScript, demonstrating strong typing discipline rather than mere familiarity.

• Hands-on experience with React Native in a production application, including knowledge of the native layer.

• Practical experience with Kotlin on Android—focusing on native modules, build configuration, or Android-side CI/CD tasks.

• Direct participation in CI/CD pipeline ownership or substantial contributions—whether in mobile or frontend, using any tooling.

• Ability to think systemically and write code intended for other engineers, not just end users.

• Comfort in working independently and making decisions without the need for complete consensus.
