This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop high-quality user interfaces for Firefox with a focus on accessibility and usability.
• Write code and tests, create prototypes, address challenges without clear solutions, and collaborate with fellow designers and engineers to enhance the web experience.
• Gain insights into a diverse array of problems and solutions within a large, established codebase.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, nurturing relationships and teamwork to achieve common objectives.
• Help elevate the skills of your colleagues through code reviews, delivering presentations, and/or authoring documentation.
• Uphold and promote high standards of code quality, emphasizing performance, testing, security, usability, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Work alongside dedicated and passionate team members to bring the open web to users worldwide.
• Contribute to the enhancement of engineering practices and procedures.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Proven background in delivering high-quality software products.
• At least 3 years of experience working with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• A strong interest in and capability to work with a distributed team (requires excellent asynchronous written communication skills as well as strong verbal communication skills).
• Open to providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Willing to contribute by asking insightful questions and suggesting new ideas.
