Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with various business teams (Operations, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and others) to pinpoint areas where AI can enhance internal workflows and outcomes.

• Engage in discovery sessions with stakeholders and convert business needs into well-defined product requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Guide each product through its complete lifecycle, from prototyping and stakeholder validation to hardening, deployment, and production rollout.

• Utilize agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Augment as the primary development environment.

• Work autonomously on standalone internal applications, while collaborating with central Engineering teams when projects intersect with core systems or production platforms.

• Make engineering decisions suited for an internal user base, balancing the speed of delivery with reliability, security, and maintainability.

• Take ownership of deployed tools throughout their adoption, including post-launch support, iteration based on user feedback, and ongoing maintenance.

• Create documentation, conduct user training, and manage rollouts to facilitate adoption.

• Share reusable components, patterns, and insights back with AI teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience in shipping production software from start to finish, with practical experience in building AI-enabled applications.

• Proven ability to interpret ambiguous business needs into product requirements and deliver functioning software accordingly.

• Full-stack engineering proficiency across data, services, and user interfaces.

• Expertise in using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Augment.

• Experience in deploying and managing applications on a leading cloud provider.

• Familiarity with application security practices for systems that handle sensitive company data.

• Strong product judgment, including the ability to define the scope for an initial release, prioritize features, and establish completion criteria.

• Exceptional written communication skills across requirements, specifications, documentation, and stakeholder updates.

• Demonstrated ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders and articulate technical concepts clearly.
