Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate, multi-system AI implementations from start to finish, architecting, building, validating, and managing customer relationships throughout the process.

• Take charge of the AI workshop initiative for your team, tailoring modules to suit individual customer needs, leading technical discussions, translating results into production requirements, and refining content based on field insights.

• Design multi-agent solutions, selecting appropriate coordination patterns that align with each customer’s workflow characteristics and compliance needs.

• Create client-specific and industry-targeted MCP resource packages that deliver personalized intelligence from the server, ensuring that every connected AI interface learns and improves automatically for that customer.

• Ensure the quality of Deployment Kits for your team. If a kit isn't sufficiently documented for a solutions consultant without an engineering background to follow, it’s considered incomplete.

• Lead Solutions Enablement Sprints: impart AI deployment methodologies to solutions consultants and partners, supported by training materials and certification standards.

• Propel the intelligence loop: draft strategic memos, present field insights weekly, contribute Agent Bricks and Skills, and submit RFCs for platform enhancements.

• Provide mentorship to junior FDEs during customer engagements, code reviews, and ensure Deployment Kit quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience in production software engineering, including a minimum of 3 years dedicated to deploying AI/ML solutions in a production environment. Proficient in Python; strong knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript.

• A proven history of leading complex enterprise technical projects. You’ve effectively managed customer relationships, navigated security assessments, and delivered production systems that organizations rely on.

• Extensive experience with production LLM: multi-agent orchestration, MCP/tool-use, RAG optimization, evaluation frameworks, and large-scale agent deployment.

• Expertise in system architecture across enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, and AI services, capable of explaining concepts to both a CIO and a junior engineer.

• Demonstrated ability to create reusable technical resources that others can utilize in production. You focus on platforms rather than single projects.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You produce architecture documents, runbooks, strategic memos, and training materials. Your Deployment Kits serve as your portfolio.

• You enhance teams you work with. You ensure that your colleagues comprehend what has been built, why it functions, and how to maintain it independently.

• Willingness to travel. This position requires domestic and international travel around 25–50% of the time.

• Eligibility to work in Germany on an ongoing basis.

• Proficient in English is mandatory.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
