Senior Forensic Engineer, Electrical

📋 Description

• Senior Forensic Electrical Engineers are tasked with investigating damage, failures, or distress associated with existing MEP systems, machinery, and equipment.

• This position encompasses all facets of investigative projects, including collaboration with clients, conducting site visits, managing resources, drafting reports, performing root cause analyses, reviewing building codes, and establishing deadlines to ensure timely and professional submission of project deliverables.

• Lead projects and act as the primary point of contact.

• Coordinate site visits, resources, and timelines to ensure projects remain on schedule.

• Execute site visits and testing to collect data across various property types.

• Generate reports that synthesize inspection, testing, and analysis data to identify root causes and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.

• Contribute to regional expansion through recruitment and business development efforts.

• Cultivate and sustain strong client relationships while generating new business opportunities.

• Collaborate with business development on conferences and client engagement initiatives.

• Review and interpret applicable building codes as necessary concerning the scope of work.

• Supervise the formulation of repair or replacement design scope, as required.

• Make independent decisions for projects, including the choice of analysis and testing methods and the allocation of resources pertinent to the project.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Active PE license is mandatory.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in forensic electrical engineering or relevant design experience.

• Demonstrated ability to compose detailed technical reports based on inspection findings.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
