Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the timely and precise execution of regulatory mandated statutory reporting, encompassing the Annual and Quarterly Statements, MD&A, statutory audited financial statements, and any relevant filings.

• Assist in the coordination and preparation of specific GAAP, quarterly and annual statements, along with associated analysis, which includes, but is not limited to, relevant footnotes and analytics.

• Conduct analysis and leverage reporting tools to extract information from the general ledger (Oracle) and/or financial data warehouse as necessary to aid in the reconciliation and analytic responsibilities associated with the position.

• Generate journal entries and perform account reconciliations, including supporting analysis when necessary.

• Facilitate adherence to internal control procedures and the documentation of controls (e.g., Review and approval control binders).

• Provide support for both internal and external (EY) audits and statutory insurance department examinations, as required.

• Actively seek opportunities for continuous process enhancement (including automation) to identify and propose recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Over 3 years of pertinent experience in a sophisticated accounting environment.

• Insurance experience is advantageous.

• CPA or in the process of obtaining CPA is preferred.
