Financial Modeler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop a 24-month rolling financial model from the ground up.

• Create bear, base, and bull scenario analyses with clear assumptions and risk factors.

• Model revenue by business line, including metrics such as LTV, CAC, and payback period.

• Accurately integrate commission structures and net revenue effects.

• Factor in future product launches and anticipated pricing adjustments into the forecast.

• Collaborate with the GTM team to collect and verify inputs for the model.

• Regularly upload and maintain the validated forecast in Fathom on a monthly basis.

• Clearly present the model and its underlying assumptions to stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in financial modeling; a background in investment banking, FP&A, or venture-backed startups is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Google Sheets at an expert level.

• Proven experience in constructing 3-statement models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) from scratch.

• Direct experience with SaaS metrics including ARR/MRR, NRR, churn, CAC, LTV, payback period, and the rule of 40.

• Strong understanding of app store economics, including Apple App Store, Google Play, and Stripe commission frameworks.

• Ability to thrive in a remote, lean startup environment.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex models into clear narratives.
