This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Advanced Financial Modeling & Forecasting
• - Dynamic Modeling: Create, maintain, and review intricate three-statement financial models from the ground up, customized to meet specific industry requirements (e.g., cohort analysis for SaaS, project-oriented models for Real Estate).
• - Liquidity Management: Oversee the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast process, ensuring that clients possess real-time insight into their financial runway and capital needs.
• - Scenario Planning: Create "What-If" models to stress-test business assumptions related to hiring, pricing changes, and market fluctuations.
• Strategic Insight & Reporting
• - Executive Dashboards: Develop and automate high-quality, client-ready visual dashboards (using Excel, Power BI, or specialized FP&A software) that showcase North Star metrics and KPIs.
• - Variance Analysis: Perform thorough monthly variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget/Forecast), offering narrative explanations that delve into the "why" beyond the "what."
• - CFO Preparation: Prepare executive summaries and talking points for board-level discussions, ensuring the Founder is thoroughly briefed for all client interactions.
• Systems Architecture & AI Integration
• - Process Optimization: Standardize financial workflows across the firm’s client portfolio to ensure scalability and uniformity.
• - AI & Automation: Proactively incorporate AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, specialized LLMs) and Excel automation (Power Query/VBA) to significantly minimize manual data entry and enhance analytical efficiency.
• - Data Integrity: Review client accounting files (QuickBooks Online, Xero) to confirm that data structures facilitate precise financial reporting.
• Advisory Support
• - Strategic Initiatives: Spearhead ad-hoc projects such as unit economics analysis, customer acquisition cost (CAC) versus LTV studies, and margin optimization strategies.
• - Gap Identification: Actively identify financial risks or operational inefficiencies within client organizations and propose structured solutions without prompting.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. CFA, CPA, or MBA is highly preferred.
• Experience: 5–8+ years in FP&A, Investment Banking, or Corporate Finance. Experience in a Fractional CFO or multi-client setting is a considerable advantage.
• Industry Expertise: Established track record in at least two of the following areas:
• - SaaS/Tech: Knowledge of MRR, Churn, and CAC.
• - Real Estate: Understanding of Cap Rates, IRR, and development draws.
• - Professional Services: Familiarity with utilization rates and project margins.
• Tech Stack:
• - Expert Level: Microsoft Excel (Index/Match, Power Pivot, Lambda, and complex nesting).
• - Proficient: QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Sage Intacct.
• - Modern Tools: Experience with AI-driven analysis and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• Market Context: In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and the operational specifics of US-based SMBs.
