This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Conducts financial analysis within the Finance Department regarding payments for professional contracts with vendors, non-UCR contracts with providers, and purchase orders.
• Utilizes accounting principles to analyze financial data and generate financial reports by gathering information and employing relevant accounting control procedures.
• Ensures timely and accurate payments to vendors and providers by verifying expenditure accuracy through careful review and interpretation of contract terms.
• Audits expenditures to confirm that they are both complete and timely.
• Examines monthly provider/vendor invoices and accompanying documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Collaborates with the Financial Operations Team on various assignments, tasks, and workflow guidance.
• Evaluates processes and procedures to confirm they function effectively and efficiently.
• Prepares monthly journal entries as necessary.
• Reviews, investigates, and rectifies errors in payable entries, documents, and reports.
• High School Diploma/GED with six (6) years of experience in the accounting field or financial analysis within a health plan, managed care entity, behavioral health services provider, or hospital entity;
• OR an Associate’s degree with four (4) years of experience in a similar role;
• OR a Bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of relevant experience;
• OR a combination of education and experience equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Residency in North Carolina is required.
• Ability to travel within the designated catchment area as needed.
