Assistant Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee and provide support to a team responsible for the month-end close process for Global Operations.

• Manage the monthly closing timeline across all subsidiaries.

• Conduct reviews of journal entries, inter-company transactions, account analyses, and reconciliations.

• Monitor and track discrepancies between US GAAP and statutory reporting.

• Ensure that foreign payroll and subsidiary fundings are scheduled on a monthly basis.

• Prepare and calculate internal accounting for debt, transfer pricing, and capitalized internally developed software.

• Collaborate with the Controller as the primary contact for the external audit.

• Build and maintain relationships with International Operations, Outsourced Payroll Providers, ACS (NetSuite), RSM Audit / Tax, Legal, Operations, and Payroll.

• Serve as the main point of contact for the compilation of annual financial statements and tax returns for foreign subsidiaries.

• Work closely with internal and external teams on all M&A activities.

• Partner with FP&A and other cross-functional departments to ensure the accuracy of accruals.

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Prepare all required government census reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with NetSuite and Concur is essential.

• A minimum of 3+ years of management experience in high-growth SAAS Tech Companies.

• Experience in Big 4 public accounting is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of business and accounting principles (US GAAP).

• Familiarity with the monthly close checklist within NetSuite is necessary.

• Ability to design effective financial controls and processes.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Skilled in identifying problems and discrepancies.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel (advanced level experience required).

• Experience in deploying and implementing accounting platforms is preferred.
