Senior Finance Transformation Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Automate end-of-month closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes utilizing data automation and workflow tools.

• Perform business analysis and conduct stakeholder interviews with teams in accounting, tax, procurement, and finance to pinpoint process gaps and suggest enhancements.

• Assist in finance transformation projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and scalability of financial data and reporting methods.

• Create and oversee project plans, timelines, and deliverables to guarantee the successful implementation of transformation initiatives.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within the Accounting and Finance departments to deploy innovative solutions.

• Ensure that transformation initiatives uphold robust internal controls and adhere to regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX).

• Leverage a comprehensive understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with a strong accounting foundation.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of VBA/macros.

• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and transformation tasks.

• Familiarity with Alteryx and/or KNIME or other comparable workflow automation and data transformation tools.

• Experience in developing dashboards using Tableau or similar business intelligence or data science tools.

• Strong analytical skills with a systematic approach to troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• Excellent documentation skills.

• Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in Big 4 accounting firms or similar environments; background in corporate accounting functions within a public company setting with SOX compliance experience.
