This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee and manage essential finance operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Fixed Assets, collaborating closely with the internal accounting team to ensure precision and efficiency.
• Ensure the timely closure of books at the end of each period (monthly, quarterly, and annually) and review Management Information Systems (MIS) and financial reports for submission to the parent company.
• Monitor and evaluate the internal financial controls framework, guaranteeing effective implementation and ongoing adherence.
• Ensure compliance with relevant provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 applicable to private limited companies.
• Review and supervise compliance with direct and indirect taxes, including filings, computations, assessments, and audits, while coordinating with external advisors as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to FEMA regulations, including reporting and documentation obligations.
• Manage the quarterly and year-end financial closing under Indian GAAP (IGAAP) and serve as the primary contact for statutory audits conducted by a Big 4 audit firm.
• Prepare and distribute financial reporting packages and reconciliations to facilitate the book closure and consolidation needs of the Holding Company.
• Lead process enhancements by refining internal finance workflows, controls, and reporting systems.
• Assist with special projects, ad-hoc financial analyses, and management reporting as needed.
• Chartered Accountant with over 5 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting
• Experience in managing an accounting team
• Proficiency in GST and Income tax compliance
• Experience with Netsuite is essential
• Background in managing audits
• A self-starter who is proactive, takes initiative, and follows through on tasks promptly
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
