Senior Field Service Technician – Traveling Mechanic, Millwright

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute mechanical rebuilds of Honeywell Intelligrated line sortation systems

• Perform mechanical modifications and replace parts on industrial equipment

• Transport hardware and tools to and from job locations manually

• Support inventory management and organization of hardware

• Investigate, review, and interpret existing equipment documentation, including layout diagrams, plan views, and electrical schematics

• Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, the implementation team, and other experts in the field

• Mechanically remove and install hardware as instructed

• Aid in the cleaning of customer equipment associated with the rebuild process

• Maintain a clean work area that reflects a professional image

• Emphasize safety in all job-related tasks

• Travel up to 90% of the time, primarily on weekends

• Manage travel-related bookings through Concur and submit expense reports promptly

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanical technician/millwright

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

• Valid driver's license

• Associate's, Bachelor's, or other advanced degree preferred

• Relevant industry experience, particularly with line sortation equipment

• Skilled in the use of common metal fabrication tools (drills, saws, grinders)

• Strong mechanical/millwright abilities

• Electrical experience is advantageous

• Prior installation experience is desirable

• Capability to work extended hours in a physically demanding environment

• Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate a strong work ethic

• Basic understanding of blueprints and schematics

• Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally when required
