Senior Field Clinical Specialist – EP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver field support for clinical research related to enrollment and procedures within the EP therapy sector.

• Function as a technology, protocol, and clinical trial procedure expert and resource for Abbott stakeholders, physicians, and research personnel at the site.

• Sustain and enhance a productive clinical territory: Cultivate and maintain knowledge of clinical sites within the designated territory.

• Oversee various aspects of study progress: Nominate, approach, and complete qualification processes while establishing site/sponsor expectations for study execution.

• Facilitate contract and budget escalations as part of the study start-up process.

• Educate facility staff regarding protocol requirements and technology.

• Devise site-specific strategies to encourage appropriate patient enrollment.

• Recognize site successes and challenges and aid in implementing troubleshooting techniques that foster study goal attainment.

• Offer continuous feedback concerning all elements of study progress, particularly related to enrollment and procedures, to develop and implement strategies that optimize patient safety and contribute to organizational and corporate goals/objectives.

• Provide support for all study-related aspects to research partners, including but not limited to: protocol, standard of care, clinical trial reimbursement, etc.

• Accountable for product reporting and troubleshooting with customers and field personnel within the EP BU clinical research portfolio.

• Collaborate with territory Clinical Site Leads to share best practices and enhance capabilities for optimizing trial data quality.

• Work with Clinical Scientists, study teams, and Clinical Site Leads to provide feedback on study design and procedure and product experiences.

• Identify and communicate best practices pertinent to clinical trial execution.

• Seek out opportunities to further demonstrate and cultivate technical, research, and organizational leadership qualities.

• Partner with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, R&D, marketing, and commercial teams to support and advance key EP BU projects.

• Act as a scientific interface with healthcare professionals.

• Serve as a resource in corporate product education concerning investigative technologies, as needed: development and review of training materials, presentations, regional and national product launches, and BU commercial field education.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biological sciences, or a related field, or equivalent certification in Electrophysiology/Cardiology.

• A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible relevant clinical work experience in the Electrophysiology field.

• Preference for candidates with an EP Clinical background and field-based experience.

• Proficient in using MS Office Suite.

• High competency level in EP Lab procedures.

• Recognized as a leader and expert beyond the local territory.

• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively interacting at various levels within the organization.

• Exceptional presentation and influencing abilities.

• Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines in a timely manner.

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills, along with attention to detail.

• Must be willing to travel up to 75% during active trial enrollment periods.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
