📋 Description

• Act as the primary contact for Vaya’s RHTP QAPI and oversee the coordination and development of internal QAPI activities and initiatives.

• Oversee the creation and execution of internal Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities and the implementation of Hub and/or governing board QAPI initiatives.

• Design, implement, and assess QAPI processes and procedures to monitor and guarantee the quality and punctuality of contracted Hub functions.

• Create and execute tools for stakeholder feedback. Collect reports from responsible individuals and key staff; facilitate Quality Improvement (QI) activities; and compile regular reporting to ensure bi-directional information flow between the Hub and governance body.

• Perform regular reviews and analyses of quality and performance metrics, surveys, assessments, incidents, and various data sources to pinpoint quality and performance shortcomings.

• Develop and implement Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) and other QAPI processes to discover and resolve quality and performance challenges.

• Assist the Hub in identifying, consolidating, and reporting barriers to the governance body.

• Establish and enhance processes to guarantee compliance and timely submission of required reports, assessments, surveys, and other data submissions.

• Offer support to Hub team members in creating and executing data collection tools and procedures to ensure adherence to program requirements, facilitating tracking, monitoring, reporting, and evaluating the quality of Hub services and functions.

• Aid in ongoing and ad hoc QAPI responsibilities within the Quality Management department.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required along with a minimum of two years of experience in quality assurance and improvement.

• Preferably within a behavioral, medical, or managed care environment.

• A strong understanding of state and federal regulations, requirements, and practices related to Vaya Health's operations in North Carolina is advantageous.

• Familiarity with QAPI principles, as well as federal and state Medicaid laws, rules, regulations, and NCQA standards.

• Experience in data collection, analysis, and advanced proficiency in Excel and Word, including skills in pivot tables, graphs, charts, etc.

• Excellent interpersonal abilities, effective oral and written communication skills, and knowledge of concepts for building efficient teams.

• Capability to leverage data for identifying root causes and devising strategies for developing and implementing robust action plans.

• Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities and projects effectively.

• Strong organizational capabilities with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction, demonstrate initiative, be goal-oriented, and act as a self-starter.

• Proficiency in problem-solving and delivering practical, thorough, and innovative solutions to work tasks.

• Ability to learn, interpret independently, and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures.

• Exhibit a strong attention to detail and meticulous accuracy in all tasks.
