Senior Field Applications Specialist – Chem/IA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Verify new Chemistry and/or Immunoassay instrument installations in accordance with Beckman Coulter and client specifications.

• Prepare clients and conduct instrumentation validation studies successfully.

• Execute instrument setup, calibration, precision assessments, and method comparisons.

• Collaborate directly with customer Key Operators during validation to enhance training.

• Ensure customer personnel are equipped to operate and maintain the instrumentation effectively.

• Address inquiries and concerns from customers regarding instrument functionality and assay performance.

• Provide both onsite and remote telephone support for assay- and QC-related inquiries.

• Deliver onsite training on the proper operation of instrumentation.

• Work in partnership with Tech Support, Field Service, Sales, and Customer Training teams.

• Undertake extensive travel throughout the Northwest United States and other regions as business requirements dictate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree with over 3 years of experience in laboratory/diagnostic instrumentation or a related field.

• Background in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science, or a similar discipline.

• In-depth understanding of the diagnostics or healthcare sector.

• Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory regulatory frameworks, including standard laboratory practices, quality control, record keeping, CAP, and CLIA regulations.

• A customer-oriented approach.

• Capability to work autonomously, adapt, and solve problems effectively.

• Must be willing to travel up to 80% by air and/or vehicle, including overnight stays.

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

• A Bachelor's degree in a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist-related field is advantageous.
