This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Act as the main technical field contact for internal application support teams, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in NIPT and Bioinformatics.
• Responsible for knowledge transfer and assistance for frontline personnel.
• Conduct customer training sessions and provide Illumina professional services as required.
• Offer data analysis, logistical support, and troubleshooting assistance for intricate issues.
• Deliver basic application support (including installation, system validation, and customer training) to clients in Australia and New Zealand utilizing Illumina's high throughput sequencing and array systems as necessary.
• Resolve issues associated with users' technical abilities, biochemistry/assay design, experimental design, software, and instruments.
• Analyze customer requirements and identify accountability for problem resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams throughout the troubleshooting process.
• Serve as the initial contact for addressing complex NIPT applications and bioinformatics challenges in ANZ and APJ regions.
• Coordinate with Regional and Global Product Support teams.
• Facilitate educational initiatives in conjunction with NIPT and Bioinformatics support teams worldwide.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with customers.
• Oversee and implement installations, including facility assessments, instrument validation, and customer training.
• Assist sales initiatives through technical presentations and customer relationship management.
• Provide valuable customer feedback to marketing and product development teams as a key contributor.
• Enhance and refine essential company processes.
• Previous field experience in supporting customers using sequencing technologies.
• Proven understanding of sequencing data analysis software applications.
• Demonstrated experience with next-generation sample preparation technologies and protocols.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities along with strong interpersonal and account management skills in a commercial setting.
• Experience in next-generation sequencing applications.
• Proven experience with instruments such as liquid handling robotics and optical scanners.
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated high-level proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Clear vision and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
