Accident Reconstruction Expert Witness

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute comprehensive investigations and forensic evaluations of motor vehicle accidents, encompassing crash dynamics, impact forces, vehicle movements, roadway conditions, and contributing elements.

• Conduct on-site assessments, gather evidence, and take measurements to accurately reconstruct accidents.

• Compile thorough written reports and expert opinions grounded in engineering principles, data modeling, and physical evidence.

• Offer expert witness testimony during depositions and trials, translating intricate technical findings into clear, comprehensible opinions suitable for attorneys, juries, and other non-technical audiences.

• Work closely with legal teams to formulate case strategies, pinpoint critical issues, and bolster litigation efforts with precise technical expertise.

• Remain updated on industry standards, crash investigation methodologies, and pertinent regulations and technologies in vehicle dynamics and roadway safety.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in Accident Reconstruction.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.

• A Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or ACTAR certification is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in accident reconstruction and collision analysis.

• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, occupant kinematics, and safety standards for both low and high-speed accidents.

• Previous experience as an expert witness or testifying in legal settings is highly desirable.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
