Senior Federal Financial Reporting Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in federal financial reporting, accounting operations, and audit readiness initiatives within a federal client setting.

• Gather and evaluate financial statements.

• Conduct USSGL analysis, aid in audit processes, and ensure the precision of financial reporting submissions.

• Execute advanced accounting, fund accounting, and financial analysis tasks.

• Examine accounting data to uncover discrepancies, trends, and reporting challenges.

• Review Journal Vouchers, identify mistakes, perform root cause analysis, and suggest corrective measures.

• Assist with financial audit processes and contribute to the remediation and prevention of audit findings.

• Help with reconciliations, GTAS reporting, and financial reporting efforts.

• Work collaboratively with teams to guarantee adherence to federal accounting standards and reporting obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a relevant discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in federal financial accounting supporting federal agencies or government clients.

• More than 2 years of experience in compiling and analyzing federal government financial statements, including proprietary and budgetary USSGL analysis.

• At least 2 years of experience in analyzing intricate accounting and financial data within a federal financial management context.
