This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +16 more states.
• Oversee extensive and intricate investigations into forensic equipment losses with minimal supervision.
• Assess damage to industrial, commercial, and specialized equipment.
• Identify the cause of loss, the degree of damage, and the necessary repair or replacement scope.
• Organize and perform site inspections and field evaluations.
• Examine records provided by clients, including invoices, budgets, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Conduct financial analyses to create damage estimates and restoration costs.
• Draft clear and well-substantiated expert reports for insurers, third-party adjusters, attorneys, corporations, and private clients.
• Deliver expert opinions during client meetings, mediations, depositions, and legal proceedings.
• Maintain direct and ongoing communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Guide and support junior consultants through technical mentorship, field assistance, and report evaluations.
• Engage in peer review and quality assurance activities.
• Actively contribute to business development through client outreach, participation in industry events, and professional presentations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project scope, timeline, and budget compliance.
• Keep precise job files, documentation, and records.
• Execute additional responsibilities consistent with a senior consulting role.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 5 years in forensic or equipment loss consulting, showcasing inspection and reporting expertise.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to independently author defensible expert reports.
• Experience in depositions and/or providing testimony is preferred, but not essential.
• Professional or industry certifications or licensure are preferred.
