Senior Epic Lab Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive implementation and enhancement of EPIC Beaker (CP/AP) modules.

• Design and configure intricate laboratory workflows including specimen collection, accessioning, testing, reporting, and results management.

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on laboratory operations and Epic Beaker capabilities.

• Create and manage integrations among Epic Beaker, laboratory instruments, middleware, and external systems (HL7 interfaces).

• Work in partnership with laboratory leadership, pathologists, clinicians, and IT departments to establish scalable solutions.

• Supervise the development of test catalogs, result components, reference ranges, and orderable configurations.

• Lead system testing (SIT, UAT), coordinate the go-live process, and offer hypercare support.

• Address critical production issues and manage root cause investigations.

• Ensure adherence to laboratory and healthcare regulations (CLIA, CAP, HIPAA).

• Guide junior analysts and provide technical mentorship.

• Spearhead upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Mandatory Epic Certification in Beaker (CP and/or AP).

• Extensive knowledge of laboratory workflows and Lab Information Systems (LIS).

• Practical experience with HL7 interfaces, laboratory instruments, and middleware.

• Strong comprehension of healthcare data, reporting, and integration processes.

• Preferred SQL/reporting expertise.

• Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Epic Beaker or laboratory systems.

• Experience in leading at least one complete Epic implementation cycle.

• Proven track record in production support within large-scale healthcare settings.
