Senior Epic Application Analyst – Willow Ambulatory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Tasked with enhancing the functionality and operational efficiency of Information Systems by leveraging expertise in Epic Applications.

• Ensures the integration of technology into effective workflow and process design while maintaining the operational efficiency of assigned Epic applications and related technologies.

• Offers advanced ongoing analysis, consultation, complex problem-solving, collaboration, and application support to users.

• Plays a key role in contributing to system training initiatives.

• Utilizes knowledge and skills to serve as a technical resource on Epic and takes on higher-level project responsibilities.

• Responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, implementation, optimization, and support of Epic Willow Ambulatory applications and associated technologies that aid ambulatory pharmacy operations.

• Collaborates with pharmacy staff, operational leaders, and technical teams to enhance workflows, address complex application issues, support system upgrades and maintenance, and ensure effective technology integration into daily operations across retail, specialty, and home health pharmacy settings.

• Assists in new pharmacy builds, ongoing system enhancements, project coordination, user support, and training initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Epic Willow Ambulatory certification and build experience are essential.

• Strong knowledge of ambulatory pharmacy workflows is required.

• Experience with Epic upgrades, system maintenance, and application support is necessary.

• Familiarity with medication loads, pricing updates, and insurance updates is needed.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities are essential.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills are required.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support complex projects is critical.

• Experience in supporting retail, specialty, or home health pharmacy operations is preferred.

• An associate degree is preferred.

• Epic Willow Ambulatory Certification is mandatory.

• A minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a large corporate systems development and implementation environment in various Healthcare Information Systems (MIS) or similar experience in system analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation, or a combination of MIS and working knowledge of hospital operations is required.

• Prior experience with Epic or other Health Information Systems is required.

• Experience in addressing complex problems is necessary.

• Experience in assisting other Analysts is beneficial.

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Epic application support, development tools, and methodologies is needed.

• Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude are essential.

• Good planning and organizational skills are required.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and customer service abilities are necessary.

• A demonstrated history of growth in the ability to lead others is important.
