Senior Environmental Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Leading and managing the necessary transportation NEPA documentation process.

• Assisting in the coordination with clients, agencies, and stakeholders during the transportation project development and NEPA processes.

• Working collaboratively with design engineers and planning teams to incorporate environmental considerations into transportation project development.

• Supervising the NEPA processes for transportation projects from initiation to completion.

• Analyzing transportation design plans and technical studies to identify environmental risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to effectively collaborate and contribute within a team environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, urban planning, or a related biological/scientific discipline.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the environmental field.

• At least 5 years of experience in transportation projects.

• Strong project management skills, ensuring compliance and oversight of environmental regulations.

• Proficient in articulating findings and creating high-quality written deliverables, such as reports, memos, and documentation.

• Ability to work independently and reliably, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and deliverables.
