This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Function within a collaborative team environment alongside Technical Support Engineers, fellow Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and Sales Account Managers.
• Enhance each customer's success by managing and maintaining the Tanium platform and its modules to fulfill specific Operations, Risk, Compliance, Asset, and Security objectives.
• Discover opportunities for customers to maximize their return on investment from the Tanium platform.
• Collaborate closely with CSMs to enhance the operational status of Tanium within key accounts.
• Offer technical guidance to customer IT support personnel.
• Perform daily health-check assessments on assigned accounts and coordinate with Technical Support Engineers on strategic activities for customers.
• Record best practices and contribute to Play Book entries.
• Travel Requirements: Anticipate 25% of time dedicated to travel.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Over 8 years of industry experience with strong technical expertise across multiple domains, including networking, security, operations, scripting, and/or programming.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following technical areas: Endpoint Security, Endpoint Support/Troubleshooting, Incident Response, Systems Management, and Utility Scripting (bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python).
• Familiarity with code merging and branching techniques utilizing GitHub.
• Experience managing enterprise-level clients.
• Prior experience and comprehensive knowledge necessary to guide customers and internal teams effectively.
• Mastered numerous new concepts and technologies; consistently aiming to excel in the Tanium platform and its modules.
• Experience with integrating cloud-based services with on-premises solutions.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; adept at deconstructing problems into manageable components and articulating the problem statement and solution plan to others.
• Proficient in enterprise-level troubleshooting.
• Experience with integrating API-based commercial software solutions.
• Sound judgment: consistently takes self-directed actions to prioritize and evaluate cost and value, determining the most suitable actions aligned with Tanium and its mission.
• Independent worker; capable of tackling the most complex issues and completing tasks with limited documentation; engages in projects aligned with their current expertise while adhering to established technical support protocols, seeking assistance only for more intricate initiatives or problems.
• Excellent communication skills: adept in executive communication, demonstrating emotional intelligence and patience across all communication forms.
• Strong influencing skills: effectively collaborates with team members and strategic clients, presenting logical and persuasive arguments to foster innovation and improve efficiencies.
