Senior Enterprise Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the enterprise data architecture strategy as a Senior Enterprise Data Architect, guiding the design and execution of technology and data architecture across cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI/ML, automation, and data platforms on an enterprise scale.

• Create enterprise-level data and technology architecture solutions that facilitate clinical trials for global programs.

• Develop scalable and secure architectures that encompass cloud infrastructure, AI/ML, automation, cybersecurity, and enterprise data platforms.

• Convert business requirements into effective architectural designs that adhere to enterprise standards.

• Establish best practices for architecture and provide technical leadership for strategic initiatives.

• Promote AI-driven clinical research by collaborating with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.

• Shape the enterprise technology roadmap and aid in digital transformation efforts.

• Mentor and support technical teams in making complex architecture decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Over 8 years of experience in enterprise data or platform architecture, or equivalent experience demonstrating the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Proficiency in enterprise data architecture, data modeling, data mapping, SQL/PLSQL, and data transformation frameworks.

• Experience with data modeling tools (such as Erwin or similar).

• Ability to define and enforce data governance and platform standards.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project delivery frameworks.

• Knowledge of Databricks (preferred) or dbt.
