This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Empower business and IT leaders to make informed investment choices that balance current operational needs, disruptions, and opportunities with the organization's long-term strategic vision.
• Offer technology direction, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices within designated capability domains.
• Assess current projects, evaluate necessary business capabilities, shape the target landscape, and develop functional roadmaps within the initial 3–12 months.
• Engage in the design and establishment of MMA’s business unit Enterprise Architecture group, including architecture review standards, key principles, and core processes.
• Act as a subject matter expert for one or more business capability areas.
• Comprehend intricate upstream and downstream dependencies across servicing, transaction, and operational workflows.
• Lead, guide, and define IT architecture within assigned domains to align with corporate business strategy.
• Review and provide insights on proposals and initiatives, delivering technical expertise for projects in a consulting and troubleshooting capacity.
• Create implementation proposals for new applications, capabilities, and services.
• Collaborate with project sponsors and business users to grasp solution requirements and needs.
• Oversee the development of supporting application components, system interfaces and designs, and the deployment of new systems and services.
• Ensure the quality of technology deliverables by contributing to and communicating development, QA, security, and service onboarding standards and best practices.
• Keep track of industry trends and relay opportunities arising from emerging technologies and best practices.
• Advise and mentor technology colleagues and team members on technology skills, principles, processes, and technologies.
• 5–7 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture.
• Solid experience in developing enterprise technical solutions and strategies.
• Leadership experience in managing multiple large, cross-functional teams or projects.
• Capability to influence senior management and key stakeholders.
• Proven experience as a domain architect or enterprise architect in a large insurance or brokerage organization.
• Direct responsibility for architecting capabilities across complex, high-volume operational platforms and business processes.
• Skill in translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and effectively communicating a vision.
• Ability to align business objectives with IT strategy and convert insurance operating model requirements into actionable architectural roadmaps.
• Knowledge of Insurance Broking, Risk Management, or Employee Benefits processes and solutions.
• Experience with large-scale application rationalization initiatives.
• TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Certification is considered a distinguished qualification.
• Familiarity with solution architecture frameworks, patterns, emerging technologies, and best practices.
