Senior Engineer, Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the essential operations of the company by assisting in the design and development of software within an event-driven microservices architecture.

• Create microservices utilizing Golang.

• Collaborate with platform engineers to establish new services.

• Address production issues and alerts as they arise.

• When necessary, engage directly with client technical teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience, ideally within the FinTech industry.

• Extensive expertise in Golang.

• Knowledge of SQL and database schema design.

• A humble and resourceful approach with a strong drive to achieve results; you thrive when building from the ground up.

• Comprehensive understanding of market structure, order types (Limit, Market, Stop, IOC, FOK), trade lifecycle, and the typical risks associated with electronic trading.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities; adept at troubleshooting complex systems.

• Practical experience in developing and maintaining high-performance, low-latency trading systems.

• Ability to navigate uncertainty; skilled at independently formulating and testing hypotheses and resolving issues without a clearly defined path.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

• Experience with banking-as-a-service, brokerage-as-a-service, or payment-as-a-service models.

• Familiarity with digital assets.

• Experience with distributed systems design and messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka, ZeroMQ, or NATS) for data distribution and persistence.
