Senior Engineer, Telephony

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain Cisco UC, PCCE, and Five9 Contact Center solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements related to telephony.

• Conduct system upgrades, apply patches, and manage updates for all telephony platforms.

• Monitor the health of the telephony environment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolutions.

• Identify areas for improvement proactively and suggest enhancements to boost system performance.

• Work closely with network and security teams to ensure secure integration of telephony systems.

• Perform regular system audits and assessments of performance.

• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users as well as other IT teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and managing Cisco UC and PCCE environments.

• Familiarity with the setup, configuration, and administration of the Five9 Contact Center solution.

• Cisco certifications such as CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration are highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of VoIP protocols, including SIP, RTP, and associated telephony technologies.

• Proficient in network protocols, routing, and switching as they pertain to telephony systems.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex telephony issues.

• Experience in scripting and automation for telephony provisioning and management is a plus.

• Outstanding communication skills for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to shifting priorities.
