Senior Engineer – Software/Info Platform – SAP BTP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Design, oversee, and enhance the enterprise SAP cloud ecosystem.

• Drive the strategic implementation of SAP Business Technology Platform services across global clients.

• Ensure optimal uptime and uphold security protocols.

• Oversee BTP accounts, subaccounts, entitlements, quotas, destinations, users, authorizations, directories, regions, and global account management.

• Conduct daily administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and maintenance of intricate BTP services and applications.

• Provide expert knowledge on S/4 integration, Integration Suite, integration performance, HA/DR, scalability, installation, and upkeep.

• Monitor BTP services utilizing ad-hoc tools, automated scripts, procedures, and Cloud ALM.

• Identify and resolve BTP integration and service challenges; oversee and optimize SAP system performance to achieve business KPIs.

• Collaborate with SAP application, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, business solutions, development, and modeling teams.

• Investigate advancements in SAP BTP technology and recommend new services, tools, standards, and enhancements.

• Design global account structures, subaccounts, roles, role collections, IAS group mappings, AI/Joule security, agent identities, and kill switches for BTP.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting solutions, SOPs, and procedural guides.

• Manage proactive upkeep of deployed CAP/RAP/BTP platform environments.

• Assist with BTP product and service selection, capability roadmaps, information governance, platform events, and solution design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with SAP BTP.

• Preferred 10+ years in SAP Basis or administration of enterprise cloud platforms.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Information Technology preferred, or equivalent professional experience is acceptable.

• Practical experience with BTP service deployment, Cloud Foundry spaces, BTP cockpit, destination configurations, AI Services on BTP, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform is preferred.

• Experience with BTP CLI and Cloud Foundry CLI is preferred.

• Understanding of identity management (IAS/IPS), security protocols, and zero-trust architecture is preferred.

• Knowledge of BTP AI offerings, including AIcore/AI Launchpad, AI A2A Protocols, Joule, J4D, and J4C is preferred.

• Extensive operational knowledge of Cloud Foundry and Kyma (Kubernetes) environments.

• Familiarity with SAP Integration Suite, API Management, destination configurations, and Event Mesh is preferred.

• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, SSL/TLS certificates, network security protocols, zero-trust architecture, and AI Agent Security.

• SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP BTP Provisioning and Administration is preferred.
