Senior Engineer, SAP Basis – HANA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Serve as an SAP Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the SAP Basis, HANA, and BTP administration team.

• Lead and actively engage in SAP upgrade, implementation, and enhancement initiatives.

• Administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize a sophisticated SAP production environment.

• Plan for SAP system capacity, software installations, maintenance, migrations, and enterprise implementations.

• Offer expertise in SAP and database performance, high availability/disaster recovery, and scalability.

• Oversee SAP systems utilizing ad-hoc tools, automated scripts, and Cloud ALM.

• Adjust system-level configurations to enhance performance and achieve business KPIs.

• Collaborate with teams involved in SAP applications, infrastructure, development, and modeling.

• Create standards, procedures, documentation, and configuration best practices.

• Investigate SAP technologies and tools to propose enhancements.

• Partner with Unix/Linux/Windows administrators on capacity planning and performance optimization for GCP-hosted servers.

• Assist with SAP application development and implementation projects, including high availability and disaster recovery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12 years of relevant experience.

• A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Extensive knowledge of SAP Basis, HANA, and BTP administration.

• Experience with SAP ERP 6.0, S/4HANA, Fiori, CRM, SCM, Portal, PO, BI, NetWeaver, SLT, and Sidecar HANA.

• Strong understanding of SAP BRIM CC (Convergent Charging) and BRIM CM (Convergent Mediation) infrastructure.

• Familiarity with SSO setup, CTS+, and SSL certificate management.

• Knowledge of performance monitoring for S/4 2023 integrations, BRIM CC, and CM components.

• Proficient in SAP/database performance, high availability/disaster recovery, scalability, capacity planning, migrations, and enterprise implementations.

• Experience with SAP system performance monitoring, alerting, and tuning using tools like Cloud ALM.

• Background in collaborating on Unix/Linux/Windows server administration.

• Preferred experience with GCP/AWS cloud platforms.

• Capability to provide technical guidance and mentor less experienced team members.
