Senior Engineer, Probabilistic Risk Assessments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Conduct Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for intricate nuclear power plant systems, analyzing the potential vulnerabilities to various risks and hazards such as seismic events, fire, flooding, and more.

β€’ Assessments may cater to both domestic and international operational plants, in addition to new reactors that are still in the design phase.

β€’ Lead and support worldwide project teams by contributing to the execution of technical scope in multiple capacities (author, mentor, verifier), while also ensuring adherence to schedule and financial objectives.

β€’ Present technical subjects and engage with global clients and regulatory agencies.

β€’ Assist in identifying strategic initiatives, developing product offerings, and targeting specific product markets.

β€’ Mentor junior engineers in the fundamentals of PRA.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory.

β€’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in PRA Model development applied to nuclear plants is essential.

β€’ An advanced degree, Professional Engineer status, or EIT license is considered advantageous.

β€’ Familiarity with PWR reactor operations is required.

β€’ Alongside basic Risk and Hazard expertise, knowledge of the following is necessary:

β€’ Internal/External Hazards PRAs.

β€’ Level 2 PRAs.

β€’ Human Reliability Analysis (HRA).

β€’ Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).

β€’ Proficiency in PRA software (CAFTA, RiskSpectrum).

β€’ Experience with Peer Review is seen as a plus.
