This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design and manage the data pipelines that supply Platform Analytics — event ingestion and entity/reference ingestion into Snowflake — ensuring high reliability and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain the conventional data-engineering ELT to establish a dependable source of truth in the data warehouse.
• Participate in the creation of data models, curating and structuring source-system data into reliable, conforming datasets while applying best practices in dimensional modeling and engineering.
• Enhance production performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency — including performance tuning, monitoring, alerting, and resource management.
• Assist in evolving the platform towards its targeted architecture, implementing design strategies and offering architectural and scalability recommendations.
• Oversee the development lifecycle for your projects — from implementation and testing to deployment — working alongside the team to deliver and sustain the platform.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the establishment of team standards for code quality and operational practices.
• Utilize AI coding tools effectively in everyday engineering tasks — streamlining development, testing, and debugging processes.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant or equivalent experience; or 6+ years with an advanced degree.
• Proficient, hands-on experience in designing and delivering data warehouses and analytical datasets — encompassing data curation, integration, and data-quality processes.
• Strong SQL development skills and performance tuning expertise on analytical databases (e.g., Snowflake).
• Familiarity with streaming and real-time data processing (e.g., Kafka) and with change-data-capture (CDC) ingestion for entity/reference data.
• Experience in dimensional data modeling and in using source control, testing, and deployment workflows for ELT (e.g., dbt, git-based CI/CD).
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) for scheduling, managing dependencies, and monitoring production data pipelines.
• Capable and efficient use of AI coding tools in daily engineering activities.
• Ability to provide architectural, scalability, and reliability insights, and work collaboratively within an Agile team.
• Excellent communication skills — a strong collaborator and trusted team member, able to engage with both the product and team.
• Competitive compensation
• Bonus eligibility
• Comprehensive medical coverage
• Unlimited PTO
• Wellness reimbursement
• Professional development funds
